Electron Microprobe Analysis

  • Wavelength dispersive spectroscopy (WDS)
  • Quantitative analysis (Na to U), x-ray mapping, and line scan analysis (Be to U)
  • Chemical certification of metallic and/or oxide coatings
  • Particle and phase identification

Metallography
  • Metallic & ceramic sample preparation, mounts up to 2” x 4”
  • Precision cutting and grinding
  • Microscopic measurements to 0.0001”
  • Digital and Polaroid photography of microstructure
  • Microhardness (Vickers & Knoop)
  • Quantitative image analysis (grain size, % porosity, and % solutioning)
