Tooling

Tempcraft Corporation's world-class tool making unit produces a variety of tooling, including ceramic core, wax and plastic molds, and related fixtures, gages and setters.

Teams Working Together for the Customer
Our approach to continuously improving overall tool making performance involves grouping individuals with crucial skills into highly interactive teams. These teams then assume responsibility for a variety of tooling and related fixtures, gages and setters. Teams typically consist of:
- designers
- computer numerical control (CNC) programmers
- tool makers
- technical service representatives
Our teams produce designs from information supplied in virtually any form, ranging from conventional part prints and mylar charts, to computerized surface and solid models.
Reduced Cycle Time and Increased Accuracy
Teams use Unigraphic workstations to define tools, to program CNC equipment, and to establish inspection criteria for in-process quality control. The result is reduced cycle time and increased accuracy. Tempcraft runs a multi-shift tool making operation to cut leads times even more.
