Alcoa Howmet's facility in Japan has been producing components for industrial gas turbine engines since 1967.  The facility is a leading manufacturer of precision castings for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries in Japan.
 
The operation has consolidated its plants and relocated its headquarters at the Terai facility, which produces a range of investment castings from small turbine blades to large IGT parts.  In response to market demand, the facility has been applying the most recent advances in investment casting technology to the production of large DS blades and vanes for IGT components.
