Aluminum (7075-T6) NAS Tension Type Lockbolts
Huck® Aluminum NAS Lockbolt fasteners are designed for use in high-strength lightweight applications. The Lockbolt fastener is readily adaptable to high volume production methods. During installation, the Lockbolt fastener is locked together to produce a permanent vibration-resistant fastener which cannot loosen under vibration because the collar material is swaged into annular grooves during the installation. The simple installation procedures reduce production time to a minimum, resulting in lower production costs. An unskilled worker can install up to 15 Lockbolt fasteners per minute. The stump type Lockbolt fasteners are specifically designed for use with Huck® automated equipment. Attached to a drill-riveter machine the Huck® automatic fastening system installs fasteners at a rate up to 10 times faster than hand installed threaded fasteners.
