A-286 CRES NAS Tension Type Lockbolts
Huck A-286 CRES NAS Lockbolt fasteners are designed for use in high-strength high temperature applications. The Lockbolt fastener is readily adaptable to high volume production methods. During installation, the Lockbolt fastener is locked together to produce a permanent vibration-resistant fastener which cannot loosen under vibration because the collar material is swaged into annular grooves during the installation. The simple installation procedures reduce production time to a minimum, resulting in lower production costs. An unskilled worker can install up to 15 Lockbolt fasteners per minute.
