Folded Tube alloys
A relatively new development in the heat exchanger market within the last 5 years has been folded tubes. Whether your tube is a B tube or a radius folded tube, Alcoa has an alloy combination for you.
Alcoa's patented approach using titanium for corrosion resistance allows for two separate corrosion mechanisms to protect your tubes for a long life material solution. If even more corrosion resistance is required, a multi-layer material can be used to provide best-in-class corrosion resistance.
Both Alcoa's standard long-life and multi-layer materials are available with variable levels of magnesium to meet strength and brazability requirements.
