Performance Reports

Following is a list of qualification reports for the Ti-Matic® blind bolt. (MV) identifies the all Titanium version of Ti-Matic® and (EV) identifies the A-286 CRES sleeve with Titanium spindle version.
 
Huck Product Specification T0102F dated May 11, 2004.
 
  • Report Nº. TUC-91-07 This is a report on the compatibility of blind fasteners in graphite composite structure. Fasteners tested are the Ti-Matic® blind bolt, Monel Unimatic® blind rivet and Monel CherryMAX® blind rivet. Results show that the Ti-Matic® with its large bearing blind head performed the best. The Monel Unimatic® blind rivet performed well; however, with a smaller blind side bearing head. The Monel CherryMAX® installations showed some damage to the composite structure.
  • Report Nº. TUC-91-15 This report shows the capability of fastener head shaving on the Ti-Matic® blind bolt. Flush head fasteners were shaved .010" for the 5/32", .015" for 3/16", and .020" for 1/4" diameter bolts. Data in the report shows that even with these amounts removed from the surface of the installed fasteners, the minimum spindle retention was exceeded.
  • Report Nº. TUC-91-16 In this report, the Ti-Matic® is tensile tested using 3 different test materials. Tensile test per MIL-STD 1312-8A were performed using Alloy steel, 7075-T6 Aluminum and Composite materials. UB100-MV08-07 fasteners were used for the test, and in all material conditions the fastener meet the minimum tensile value.
  • Bulb formation photo sequence report (no report Nº.) This report shows the sequential formation of a Ti-Matic® blind head depicting the bulb slightly off sheet and moving to sheet line. It’s this type of formation that develops the clamp load and sheet take-up capabilities of the Ti-Matic®blind bolt.
  • Report No. TUC-92-03 Qualification of 5/32", 3/16", and 1/4" diameter flush head (MV) Ti-Matic® blind bolts to Huck product specification T0102.
  • Report Nº. TUC-92-05 A report on the capability of the Ti-Matic® blind bolt installed on sloped surfaces up to 7°. This report covers 5/32", 3/16", and 1/4" diameter Ti-Matic® blind bolts installed in both minimum and maximum grip condition and then tensile tested. Results show that installations on 7° slopes meet the minimum tensile requirements of Huck Product Specification T0102.
  • Report Nº. TUC-93-07 This report is on lap shear testing of the (EV) Ti-Matic® in 7075-T6 Aluminum and Composite material. The report was performed to show the lap shear capability of the (EV) Ti-Matic®, there was no competitive system tested.
  • Report Nº. TUC-94-06 This is a report showing the use of Acres Sleeves as a means to repair damaged structure and still use a standard diameter fastener.
  • Report No. TUC-95-01 Qualification of 5/32" diameter 100° flush head (MV) Ti-Matic® blind bolts to Huck product specification T0102A.
  • Report No. TUC-95-05 Qualification of 5/16" diameter 100° flush head (MV) Ti-Matic® blind bolts to Huck product specification T0102B.
  • Report No. TUC-95-06 Qualification of 5/32" diameter 130° flush head Ti-Matic® blind bolts to Huck product specification T0102B.
  • Report No. TUC-96-06 Qualification of 3/16" diameter 100° flush head (EV) Ti-Matic® blind bolts to Huck product specification T0102C.
  • Report No. TUC-97-04 Qualification of 1/4" diameter 100° flush head (EV) Ti-Matic® blind bolts to Huck product specification T0102C.
