FRANKLIN, TENNESSEE--July 18, 2001--
Alcoa announced today that Alcoa Fujikura Ltd. (AFL) has acquired 100%
of the stock of privately held ISAC, a provider of engineering, furnish
and installation (EF&I) services to the telecommunications industry
which is headquartered in Amityville, NY. Terms of the deal were not
disclosed.
In making the announcement, Frank M. Larence, president of AFL
Telecommunications, said “The addition of ISAC to AFL’s family of EF&I
companies substantially increases our service and product offerings to
our major telecommunications customers.” Today, AFL has seven EF&I
companies in North America.
