Alcoa's Dura-Bright Wheel Finish Wins RoadStar Magazine's 2002 Most Valuable Product Award
CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 25, 2003--RoadStar magazine
awarded Alcoa Wheel and Forged Products' Dura-Bright(R) wheel finish
its Most Valuable Product Award for 2002. RoadStar reaches more than
160,000 owner operators and company drivers each month.
RoadStar selected winners from hundreds of new products featured
in the magazine throughout the year. Editors selected winning products
based on their usefulness to professional truck drivers, including the
ability to make a driver's life safer, more comfortable or more
convenient.
Alcoa Dura-Bright(R) wheel finish was also recently recognized by
RoadStar's sister publication Heavy Duty Trucking magazine as one of
the 'Nifty Fifty' best new product introductions of 2002.
Alcoa aluminum wheels with the Dura-Bright(R) finish resist
corrosion and eliminate the need for polishing. They offer a
high-quality shine with a spray of soap and water and are available
for a broad range of applications including: truck and trailer, RV,
motor home, bus and motor coach. Unlike conventional surface coatings,
Alcoa Dura-Bright(R) protection is a patented treatment that
penetrates the wheel. Brake dust, grime and oil residue wash off
quickly and easily. Field tests show the brilliant shine lasts without
polishing, even after years of use.
Alcoa is the world's leading producer of primary aluminum,
