Alcoa Launches New Websites for Yadkin-APGI and Tapoco-APGI
PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 13, 2003--Alcoa has launched new
websites for Yadkin-APGI and Tapoco-APGI, two divisions of Alcoa Power
Generating Inc. The Yadkin website can be found at
http://www.alcoa.com/yadkin/ . The Tapoco website is located
at http://www.alcoa.com/tapoco .
Since first introducing websites on Yadkin and Tapoco, Alcoa has
used the sites to share information on local licensing, resource
management and community initiatives. The sites detail Alcoa's
commitment to environmental sustainability and to positive corporate
citizenship, while also providing channels for community dialog.
In addition to providing local information, the new sites are now
fully integrated into Alcoa's global web presence at www.alcoa.com.
The sites have been redesigned to replicate the appearance and
functionality of Alcoa's corporate homepage.
Interested community members now have access to corporate
information including: employment opportunities, breaking news,
Alcoa's Visions and Values, environmental programs, and community
initiatives.
The new websites also feature: calendars of upcoming events,
relicensing news and documents, and pages for contacting Alcoa with a
question, comment, or request.
The new Yadkin site also offers up to the minute data on reservoir
water levels, as well as information detailing Yadkin's shoreline
management plan.
For nearly 100 years the Tapoco and Yadkin facilities have
generated hydroelectric power that is both consumed by Alcoa and sold
on the open market.
