Diana Perreiah Named General Manager for Alcoa’s Kawneer North America Business
Succeeds Glen Morrison in Pivotal Leadership Role to Drive Kawneer’s
Growth and Investment Strategy
NORCROSS, Ga.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alcoa announced today that Diana Perreiah has been named General
Manager, Kawneer North America, succeeding Glen Morrison, who recently
was named President, Alcoa Building & Construction Systems. Kawneer
Company, Inc., part of Alcoa’s Building & Construction Systems business
unit, is the leading manufacturer of architectural aluminum products and
systems for commercial construction. In her new role, Perreiah will be
responsible for guiding the executive management team and oversight of
company operations, as well as leading operational excellence, capturing
productivity gains and delivering exceptional customer service for
Kawneer North America.
As a long time Alcoa employee, Perreiah most recently held the position
of Vice President, Business Operations, for Kawneer North America. Her
career with Alcoa began in 1986 in Alcoa’s Rigid Packaging Division
(RPD) at Warrick Operations in Evansville, Ind., where she held various
leadership positions. In 1999, Perreiah transferred to Pittsburgh to
lead the consolidation of Alcoa’s North America information
infrastructure services. In 2003 she joined Alcoa’s internal
manufacturing excellence group, Alcoa Operations Management Consulting
(AOMC), and later was named plant manager for Alcoa’s largest soft alloy
extrusion plant located in Cressona, Pa., in 2005. Two years later, she
was named Operations Manager at Alcoa’s Lafayette (Ind.) Operations,
part of Alcoa’s Hard Alloy Extrusions business. Perreiah later assumed
responsibility for all extrusion operations in North America. She will
continue to be based out of Kawneer’s Norcross, GA, headquarters.
Perreiah graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Computational Science from
Hollins University, Roanoke, Virginia.
Recently, Kawneer embarked on a carefully planned initiative to upgrade
its service centers to provide more flexibility and superior service to
customers. “Perreiah’s appointment is a strategic move for Kawneer as
the company continues to pursue an aggressive investment agenda. As
Kawneer works to improve and expand its operational capabilities, grow
its wide range of products and advance the company through technology
and people, Perreiah’s strong leadership experience in operations,
commercial and information services will be critical,” said Glen
Morrison, President, Alcoa Building & Construction Systems.
“Kawneer North America maintains a key role in Alcoa Building &
Construction Systems’ strategy and even in these challenging times for
the industry we continue to invest heavily in the business,” Morrison
continued. “I am confident that Diana’s leadership will continue to
propel Kawneer toward its goal of driving innovation and effective
customer-centric business operations to ensure we meet our customers’
needs now and in the future.”
