Alcoa Named a Component of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes for Sixth Year
NEW YORK--Alcoa (NYSE:AA) announced today that it has been selected as a component
of the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes for the sixth consecutive year.
Selection is based on an analysis of a company’s
economic, environmental and social performance.
Begun in 1999, the Dow Jones Sustainability Indexes track the financial
performance of the leading sustainability-driven companies worldwide.

reflects our every day performance in search of excellence and the value
we place as a company on sustainability,” said

example: As a founding member of the U.S. Climate Action Partnership,
Alcoa joined with twelve other companies and nongovernmental

contribute to Global Climate Change. USCAP membership has now grown to
31 companies and organizations and is continuing to assist in the
development of U.S. climate policy.
