CLEVELAND--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Alcoa Inc and UAW Local 1050 have reached a tentative agreement for a
new labor contract at Alcoa's Cleveland, Ohio facility. If ratified, the
agreement would end a 7-week strike and employees would return to work
on January 2, 2007.
The tentative deal carries the endorsement of the Union negotiating
committee. Details of the agreement covering approximately 830 employees
will be reviewed at Union ratification meetings to be held on December
27, 2006.
