Alcoa Named Supplier of the Year by Tracker Marine -- World's Largest Aluminum Boat Manufacturer
TEXARKANA, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 18, 2005--Alcoa North American Mill Products was named the Supplier of the Year by Tracker Marine Group, the largest aluminum boat manufacturer in the world, based in Springfield, Missouri. Criteria for the award include quality, on-time delivery, innovation and competitiveness. The award recognizes Alcoa as one of Tracker Marine's top five suppliers of 650 key suppliers based on evaluation from various divisions of the company.
Alcoa provides aluminum coil sheet to Tracker Marine from its Texarkana, Texas facility. Tracker Marine uses the aluminum to produce the hull of several well-known fishing boats such as Bass Tracker and Pontoons boats including Sun Tracker(R) and Fisher(R), TRACKER(R) Avalanche(TM) Mod V fishing boat, and the TRACKER(R) Tundra(TM) Deep V line of fishing and sports boats, the most technologically advanced aluminum boats available from any manufacturer.
