European Union Clears Alcoa Tender Offer for Cordant
PITTSBURGH--May 19, 2000--
Alcoa Inc. and Cordant Technologies announced today that the European
Union has approved Alcoa's tender offer for Cordant. The tender offer
previously received clearance from U.S. antitrust authorities.
Alcoa's $57 per share cash tender offer for all of the issued and
outstanding shares of Cordant will expire at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight
Savings Time on Friday, May 19, 2000.
