Alcoa to Provide Electrical Distribution System For 2002 Harley-Davidson Motorcycles

Allen Park, Mich.--February 13, 2001-- Alcoa Inc. announced today that its Alcoa Fujikura Ltd. (AFL) business will supply the Electrical Distribution System (EDS) for the Harley-Davidson Motor Company's Dyna and Touring lines of 2002-model year motorcycles. The motorcycle wiring harness and fusing parts will be introduced as original equipment in 2002 model year and thereafter for service needs.

"The introduction of AFL as the Dyna and Touring EDS supplier is an important first step to engage our new partnership with Harley-Davidson," said Bill Brown, vice president of Commercial & Product Development for AFL. "Our experience and expertise in EDS allows us to provide an unmatched level of quality, delivery, and launch performance, yet provide a competitively priced product for Harley-Davidson."
