Mark Davies
Executive Vice President, Alcoa President, Global Business Services (GBS) Chief Procurement Officer New York, New York
Mark Davies joined Alcoa in January 2012 as Alcoa Executive Vice President and President of the company's Global Business Services (GBS) organization. In April 2013, Mark took on the additional role as Chief Procurement Officer.
Mark has overall responsibility for leading an integrated GBS organization consisting of Procurement, Shared Services, Information Technology and Global Security. The GBS organization has approximately 1,700 employees based in 20 countries. As Chief Procurement Officer, Mark is charged with enhancing strategic and operational procurement results to create a world-class procurement infrastructure. In addition, Mark is a member of the Alcoa Executive Council, the senior leadership group that sets strategic direction for the company.
Mark joined Alcoa from Dell Inc., where he spent 12 years, most recently as the Managing Vice President of Strategic Programs, helping to lead the global business transformation of the company. Prior to that, Mark served as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Global Consumer Group, a $13 billion enterprise with operations in five regions and 45 countries. Earlier, Mark was CFO for Dell's first Global Operations organization, which included Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Logistics, R&D, and Product Marketing. He also held roles in sales, operations and corporate as Dell grew from $14 billion to $62 billion in revenue and over 100,000 employees.
Mark began his career at Hewlett Packard in financial operations and ultimately held positions in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement and Accounting for a number of international operations. Mark holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Western Washington University and an MBA in Finance from Arizona State University.
