Vitaliy Rusakov is Chief Operating Officer responsible for Alcoa Fastening Systems and Rings and Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions. In October 2016 he also assumed the responsibility for EPS Operational Excellence organization. Vitaliy is a member of the Alcoa Executive Council, the senior leadership team that sets strategic direction for the company and a Director of Alcoa Foundation Board.
In November 2014, Vitaliy assumed responsibility for integrating the rings division of the Firth Rixson acquisition into the fastening systems business to form what is today known as Alcoa Fastening Systems and Rings—a premier supplier of fastening systems and seamless rolled jet engine rings for aerospace and commercial customers worldwide. He previously served as President of the business unit, a position he assumed in February, 2010.
Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions manufactures lightweight, multi-material components for the aerospace, automotive and industrial markets.
The two businesses combined have over 10,500 employees in 45 manufacturing sites and 9 distribution/logistics centers and operates in 14 countries.  
Vitaliy began his career in the fastening business in 1998 when he joined Fairchild Fasteners as a business development manager.  After Alcoa acquired Fairchild Fasteners in 2002, Vitaliy led the integration of the North America manufacturing and global logistics organizations into Alcoa. He later became Vice President and General Manager for Alcoa Fastening Systems and Rings North America Aerospace Fasteners operations.
Earlier in his career in Ukraine, Vitaliy held consulting roles with Bain and Company, a global management consulting firm.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in linguistics and education from Kiev University of Linguistics and a bachelor’s degree in international economic relations from Kiev University of Economics. He obtained his MBA degree from Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. He is also an alumnus of INSEAD School of Business.
