Timothy D. Reyes was appointed President, Alcoa Materials Management in September 2009.  He is responsible for the commercial activities related to primary metals, alumina, and bauxite within Alcoa’s Global Primary Products business, and commodity price risk management and transportation for the Corporation. 
 
Tim brings a wealth of experience in commodity management activities.  Since joining Alcoa in 1999 as Vice President of Alcoa Materials Management in charge of metal price risk management based in Knoxville, Tennessee, Tim has held various assignments including Director of Alcoa Europe’s metal management group in Lausanne, Switzerland, Senior Vice President of Alcoa Materials Management, responsible for Alcoa’s metal trading activities, including metal price risk management, primary metal and scrap purchasing, scrap sales and tolling, and supply chain management and logistics, and Vice President, Marketing for Alcoa World Alumina, responsible for various commercial organizations within both Alcoa World Alumina and Alcoa Primary Products, covering smelter and chemical grade aluminas, bauxite, bulk freight and specialty powders.
 
Earlier in his career, Tim held trading positions with F&S International, a subsidiary of STINNES/VEBA (now EON) and co-founded the Tricor Group, both based in New York City.
 
Tim currently serves on the Board of the Directors of Purity Zinc Metals, Inc. located in Clarksville, TN.  In addition, he has previously served as an industry member of both the London Metal Exchange’s Aluminum and Warehouse Committees, as well as the Aluminum Association’s Recycling Committee.

His nonprofit work includes serving on the Board of Directors of the East Tennessee Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and formerly as a Director of the Knoxville Botanical Gardens and Arboretum. 
 
Born in Springfield, Massachusetts on January 27, 1967, Tim graduated from Boston College in 1989 with a degree in finance. He and his wife, Andrea, have one son, Evan.
