Jacques J. Vanier
President, Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions and Alcoa Oil and Gas
Lafayette, Indiana 
Jacques Vanier became President, Alcoa Forging and Extrusions (AFE) in January 2013 and added responsibility for Alcoa Oil and Gas within AFE in October 2013 and the Forgings and Metals operations from the Firth Rixson acquisition in 2014. AFE has facilities in Changwon City, South Korea; Eger, Hungary; Hannover, Germany; six operating locations in the United Kingdom; and six operating locations in North America. AFE manufactures lightweight, multi-material components for the automotive, aerospace, industrial and defense markets. AFE is also a leading ingot supplier of proprietary aluminum alloys that include aluminum lithium.  Jacques also leads the Alcoa Consumer Electronics Market Development Team.

Jacques first joined Alcoa in 1985 as an industrial engineer at its Massena (NY) Operations.  While there, he advanced to a number of leadership roles in production control, sales, maintenance and manufacturing.  In 1998, he moved to Alcoa's Lafayette (Ind.) Operations as a business analyst in the organization's Engineered Products business.  Jacques was subsequently promoted to the role of Unit II Extrusion Manager, where he drove operational improvements for Lafayette’s primary line of business.  In 2002, he became Location Manager at Alcoa's formerly owned soft-alloy extrusion facility in Morris (Ill.), and was named Regional Manufacturing Manager for Alcoa Distribution and Industrial Products in 2004.  Two years later, Jacques was appointed Vice President of Global Operations for Alcoa Automotive and Truck Systems based in Cleveland (Ohio), before leaving Alcoa in 2007 to join American Commercial Lines in Louisville (Ky.) as Vice President of Manufacturing.  He returned to Alcoa in 2010 as Chief Operating Officer for Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions.

Early in his career, Jacques was an industrial engineer at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse (NY).  He holds a bachelor's of science degree and master's degree in Industrial Management from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.

Jacques and his wife, Laura, reside in Lafayette, Indiana.
