Jacques J. Vanier
President, Alcoa Forgings & Extrusions,
Alcoa Oil & Gas, and Alcoa Engineered Structure

Jacques Vanier became President, Alcoa Forging & Extrusions (AFE) in January 2013 and added responsibility for Alcoa Oil & Gas and Alcoa Engineered Structures businesses within AFE in October 2013. AFE has facilities in Hannover, Germany and Changwon City, South Korea, as well as five North American operating locations, and supplies the automotive, aerospace, industrial and defense markets.  Jacque also leads the Alcoa Consumer Electronics Market Development Team.

Jacques first joined Alcoa in 1985 as an industrial engineer at its Massena (NY) Operations.  While there, he advanced to a number of leadership roles in production control, sales, maintenance and manufacturing.  In 1998, he moved to Alcoa's Lafayette (Ind.) Works as a business analyst in the company's Engineered Products business.  Jacques was subsequently promoted to the role of Unit II Extrusion Manager, where he drove operational improvements for Lafayette’s primary line of business.  In 2002, he became Location Manager at Alcoa's formerly owned soft-alloy extrusion facility in Morris, Illinois, and was named Regional Manufacturing Manager for Alcoa Distribution and Industrial Products in 2004.  Two years later, Jacques was appointed Vice President of Global Operations for Alcoa Automotive and Truck Systems based in Cleveland, Ohio, before leaving Alcoa in 2007 to join American Commercial Lines in Louisville, Kentucky as Vice President of Manufacturing.  He returned to Alcoa in 2010 as Chief Operating Office for Alcoa Forgings & Extrusions.

Early in his career, Jacques was an industrial engineer at Carrier Corporation in Syracuse, New York.  He holds a bachelor's of science degree and master's degree in Industrial Management from Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York.

Jacques and his wife, Laura, reside in Lafayette, Indiana.
