Eric V. Roegner
President, Alcoa Forgings and Extrusions

Eric Roegner is President of Alcoa Forged and Extrusions business unit, a combination of Alcoa’s Power and Propulsion Forgings and Global Hard Alloy Extrusions businesses.  Based in Cleveland, Ohio, the business captures the market, customer and manufacturing synergies of the two organizations. 
 
Most recently, Eric was President, Global Hard Alloy Extrusions, a position he assumed in 2007.  In this role, he oversaw all aspects of Alcoa’s hard alloy extrusion assets in North America and Europe, and had management responsibility for Alcoa Changwon Precision Extrusions located in Korea as well as provided strategic support to Alcoa’s extrusion operations in Russia.  In his current position, he will continue to oversee Alcoa’s worldwide extrusions assets as well as the company’s forging assets.  Eric joined Alcoa in 2006 as Chief Operating Officer in the Global Engineered Products business directing commercial, operations, environmental, and supply chain management activities for the company’s hard alloy extrusion and rod and bar assets worldwide.
 
Prior to coming to Alcoa, Eric had a 12-year career with management consultant firm McKinsey & Company, where he was a partner in its Cleveland office.  During his career with McKinsey, Eric worked extensively with Alcoa on performance improvement initiatives involving rolled products, aerospace blades and vanes, forgings, packaging, automotive closure panels and commercial wheels.  Earlier in his career, Eric held engineering positions with Nordson Corporation, a producer of precision dispensing equipment based in Ohio, and in South America he worked as a field engineer for Schlumberger, the world’s leading oilfield services company.
 
Eric received a BSE degree in mechanical and aerospace engineering with a minor in architecture from Princeton University in 1991 and later obtained an MBA degree from Case Western Reserve University.  He is a co-author of the book, The Price Advantage, published in 2004 by John Wiley & Sons, Inc. The book is a comprehensive guide on pricing strategies and issues.  Eric is a regular guest lecturer at Ohio State University, Purdue University, and Case Western Reserve University on pricing, marketing and management topics.  He is also a member of the Krannert School of Business Executive Advisory Council at Purdue University.
 
Eric and his wife, Kristina, have three daughters, Katherine, Kaitlyn and Kristine. Eric was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in January 1970.
