Bob Wilt is Chief Operating Officer for Alcoa's Global Primary Products business, responsible for the day-to-day operations of the $13.4 billion business that includes global aluminum smelters, refineries and mines throughout the U.S., Latin America, Australia, Iceland, Guinea, Europe and Canada.  Bob is also a member of the Alcoa Executive Council, the senior leadership team that sets strategic direction for the company.
 
Most recently, he served as President, Global Primary Products for the US Region, responsible for primary aluminum capacity at eight smelters and an alumina refinery.  Prior to this assignment, Bob was Vice President of Operational Excellence for US Primary where he helped deploy management systems and programs to ensure operational stability and cost reductions during the economic downturn of 2008-09.  He also served as Vice-President, Energy Development for Global Primary Products and has held line positions as the Works Manager at Wenatchee Works in Washington, and as Carbon Plant Manager at Tennessee Operations.
 
Prior to joining Alcoa, Bob provided operations management consulting services to the Atlanta Committee for the Olympic Games.
 
Bob received a bachelor's degree in Engineering Management from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1990.  After receiving his commission in the U.S. Army, he served as a combat engineer officer in the 101st Airborne Division, and is a veteran of the first Iraq war. He attained the rank of Captain. He also earned a Masters Degree in Business Administration from Harvard Business School.
 
Bob and his wife, Jackie, have two daughters. His hobbies include fitness, cycling, triathlons, boating, and skiing.
