Winsted, Connecticut 2006
Alcoa's Howmet Castings facility in Winsted provided 600 trees to 17 local communities in northwest Connecticut for planting during their Earth Day celebrations. Company representatives also helped plan a community clean-up day in the towns of Winsted and Torrington.
As an additional Earth Day activity, the 210 employees at the Alcoa facility received a tree to plant at a location of their choice.
