Massena, New York 2008

To celebrate Arbor Day, Alcoa donated 350 Washington hawthorn and Colorado spruce trees to fourth-grade students at four local elementary schools in Massena. The students were in the process of learning about trees and the effects they have on the environment.

Additional Arbor Day activities included distributing 1,500 trees to employees and having employee volunteers distribute 1,000 seedlings at the two-day Alcoa Health Fair, which was held in a local neighborhood community center.
