Shanghai, China

On April 8, 2004, two hundred employees at Alcoa Shanghai planted 800 trees—camphor, begonia, redbud, yellow almond, and magnolia-on company property and at the Qi Zhi school for disabled children. This brings the location's tree planting total to more than 1,800 since 1998.

The location was recognized by the regional government as one of four best companies in the Min Hang district for its tree planting activities.
