As part of 2003 Earth Day celebrations, more than 140 employees and family members cleaned the Collingwood plant property as well as main roads leading to the facility. Following a barbeque at the site, participants received white pine seedlings for planting in their own backyards.
The plant manager and co-chair of the facility's Joint Environmental, Health & Safety Committee also planted a tree in a nearby community park.
