Baie-Comeau 2006

As part of Canada Day celebrations in July, Alcoa's Baie-Comeau facility donated 1,500 Japanese lilacs, euonymus, and red ash to the community during a celebration held at the Parc des Pionniers. The location also provided 2,000 trees to its employees and 500 to the Sociéé des parcs de Baie-Comeau to beautify several local parks. Almost 400 young people helped plant 230 of the donated trees in the parks.
