Tubarão, Brazil

Alcoa Aluminio in Tubarão distributed more than 6,000 trees to employees and community members in 2004. The trees were used for reforestation at the plant site and also were given to a rehabilitation facility, local schools, and other community groups.

The location selected native trees that provide fruit and have large crowns for shade purposes.
