Guinea 2010

As part of Alcoa’s Month of Service in October, employees, students, and community members planted 122 trees donated by the company in the yard of Sangaredi High School to provide shade, fruit, and beautification. An agronomist advised Alcoa Guinea on which trees were best to grow in the area’s soil and hot and dry climate.

The tree planting culminated a day of environmental presentations by representatives from Alcoa Guinea and the Jane Goodall Institute.
