Tidal Forests of Kenya
Mangrove forests provide crucial habitat, protect coral reefs from sedimentation, and reduce coastal erosion. They are also one of the most threatened habitats. Adam Benke (Belaya Kalitva, Russia) and Phil Doring (Kwinana, Australia) will help scientists and the community of Gazi Village, on the south Kenyan coast, exam the ecosystem dynamics of replanted mangrove forests.
