Alcoa Volunteers

The Alcoa Volunteers program encourages every employee to make their corner of the world a better place. Each October, our Worldwide Month of Service mobilizes our collective energy and talent to bring lasting and positive impact to the communities where we operate around the globe. Unfolding through 700 simultaneous worldwide events, last year 22,000 employees planted 20,000 trees, served 7,300 meals, repaired 270 community facilities and assisted students in 320 schools.

This year, we expect these efforts to intensify – with 30% of our employees planning to take part in what we believe will be the biggest Month of Service yet!

Month of Service is the centerpiece of year-round volunteer efforts Alcoa employees, who last year gave 705,000 hours of voluntary service – the equivalent of more than 350 people working full-time. Read more about the people making a difference – and see where they will be volunteering this October.
