Alcoa Volunteers

Alcoa and the Alcoa Foundation actively support the efforts of our employees as they work to improve the quality of life in their individual communities as a source of lasting, positive social impact.

Alcoa and the Alcoa Foundation are committed to building a corporate culture where employee volunteerism is a valued and integral part of our social contribution. Three key programs – ACTION, Bravo! and Month of Service - foster this unique culture of service.

In total, Alcoa’s global workforce volunteered more than 900,000 hours in 2011, averaging more than 16 hours per employee. That’s the equivalent of 475 people working full-time for a year. For 2012, Alcoa has a goal of reaching one million volunteer hours.
