Month of Service 2004 Events
Taking Action is a global initiative involving thousands of Alcoa volunteers from more than 20 countries. With a theme last year of Conservation and Sustainability, Alcoans went to work in their communities cleaning up watersheds, planting native trees and other vegetation, educating children about hazardous waste and recycling, and coaxing wildlife back to their native habitats. Thousands of volunteer hours were logged by these Alcoans in the communities they call home.
