Dale Perdue Joins Alcoa Foundation’s Board of Directors
Alcoa Foundation, one of the largest corporate foundations in the U.S., announced today that Dale Perdue has been elected to its board of directors, effective May 2, 2014. Dale most recently served as Alcoa’s Assistant General Counsel until his retirement in 2012 after 37 years with the company.
“Dale brings considerable talent, experience and enthusiasm to the Alcoa Foundation Board, and I am confident that he will be an effective link between Alcoa Foundation, Alcoa and its retirees. Dale Perdue retired from Alcoa in 2012 after 37 years of service. As a member of the Legal Department he was elected by the Alcoa Board of Directors to the position of Assistant General Counsel and Assistant Officer. In that capacity he led the Department’s Employment, Labor and Benefits Group, and was responsible for the delivery of legal services for related matters to all U.S. based Business and Resource Units.
Dale is active in his local Pittsburgh community through POISE Foundation, a community organization dedicated to supporting and bettering the Pittsburgh Region’s African American community as well as other socio-economic groups. He is also an active member of the Iota Phi Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and has been a recipient of the fraternity’s Exemplary Service Award for Community Advocacy.
