Vice President, Operations
Ed Hemmersbach is President of Alcoa Corporation Global Packaging (AGP), responsible for the new company’s business serving the food and beverage can, bottle, and lithographic sheet markets and draws on the capabilities of Alcoa’s rolled products plants in the US and Saudi Arabia.
During his 15-year career with Alcoa, Ed has held various management roles in Alcoa’s Global Rolled Products Group. Most recently, he was President of Global Packaging for Alcoa Inc, with accountabilities for business in the US, China, Russia, Brazil, and Saudi Arabia with over $3BN US in annual sales. Prior to that he was Vice President, Operations for AGP, and previously was Vice President of North American Operations for AGP and Location Manager, Warrick Operations. Earlier, he served as Operations Manager at Warrick, accountable for the manufacturing portions of the rigid packaging business there. He advanced into the Operations Manager role from his position as Manager of the Fabricated Products Division.
Prior to joining Alcoa in 2001, he was employed by Commonwealth Aluminum (currently Aleris) in various roles in management, engineering, maintenance, procurement and scrap metal blending.
Ed graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. He is a licensed professional engineer in the State of Kentucky.
He is a Board member for the Institute for Global Enterprise in Southwest Indiana and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce.
