AFS Opens Indianapolis Distribution Facility

Alcoa Fastening Systems, Commercial Products Group has opened a Distribution location in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Indianapolis, IN Alcoa Fastening Systems, Commercial Products Group has opened a Distribution location in Indianapolis, Indiana. The 21,000 square foot facility will serve the Midwestern markets for all AFS brands, including Huck® brand lockbolts, rivets and installation tooling, as well as Recoil® brand threaded inserts, tools and accessories, and Marson® brand rivets, rivet-nuts, tools and accessories. The company’s Carmel Distribution Location, which served Recoil brand customers only, has been folded into the new location.
The facility will serve as a distribution point, primarily to distributors, as well a few OEM customers, according to Rod Alavi, Director of Distribution Sales & Marketing for AFS. “We are excited at the prospect of serving all our distributors’ needs in a very timely fashion, shipping from one logistics location, instead of four different factories. Our stock levels, responsiveness and fill rate should be even better than before” according to Alavi.
