Bev was truly one-of-a-kind; a friend and coworker with tireless energy and a constant smile, and someone you could always count on. We will all miss her spirit, her dedication, her candor and frankness, and her friendship.
Bev grew up in our industry, and her distinguished career is a testimony to hard work, strong professional bonds, and continuous development. Bev joined Voi-Shan, one of the predecessor businesses which today make up Alcoa Fastening Systems in 1979 as a pricing clerk, and worked her way up to manager. In 1994 she accepted an opportunity to expand her knowledge and responsibilities by joining a competitor, Hi-Shear Corporation, as Inside Sales Manager. In 1997 another growth opportunity called at Burbank Aircraft, which later became a part of Allied Signal. Then, with luck and good fortune, we were able to persuade Bev to return to our company in 1999, and she had been a key leader, confidant, and mentor to many ever since. It’s hard to imagine what we will do without her, other than try our best to honor her career with our effort, and honor her memory with support and commitment to each other.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bev’s husband, David, and their children.
