Alcoa Fastening Systems Appoints Richard M. Sharpe As Senior Vice President – Global Aerospace Customers and Marketing

Torrance, CA… Alcoa Fastening Systems, a leading worldwide designer and manufacturer of fastening systems, specialty fasteners, components, and installation systems for aerospace and commercial product assembly, announces the promotion of Richard M. Sharpe to Senior Vice President – Global Aerospace Customers and Marketing.

In his new role, Mr. Sharpe is responsible for worldwide customer relationship planning, customer service, sales, technical support, communications, and marketing for the aerospace fastening systems business.

Mr. Sharpe has been in the Alcoa Fastening Systems family for over six years serving as Vice President of Business Development and later as Vice President of Military, Regional and Business Aviation.  Prior to the start of his fastening industry career he served fifteen years as an F-15 Pilot and later Fighter Program Manager in the United States Air Force.  Before his military service, Sharpe was a management instructor for Nissan Motor Corporation.  He has a BBA in Management from Western Michigan University.
