Alcoa Quality and Service Help Launch New Honda Ridgeline
When Honda announced it would launch an all-new, next-generation pickup truck in its 2006 lineup, the pressure was on to deliver everything truck enthusiasts could dream of. By strategically partnering with proven suppliers such as Alcoa Wheel Products, Honda delivered a truck that was worth the anticipation.
The 2006 Honda Ridgeline features sleek 17-inch Alcoa cast aluminum wheels in its upgraded EX-L and EX-L Navi trim packages. Although launching a new vehicle is no small feat, Alcoa Wheel Products proved once again that it was up to the challenge.
"Alcoa performed beyond expectations and demonstrated considerable effort to ensure the success of Honda's business," said Gilles Madore, vice president and plant manager of Honda of Canada Manufacturing's Alliston, Ontario facility, where the Ridgeline is produced. "The launch of a new model takes the teamwork not only of Honda's associates but of our suppliers. Alcoa's flexibility, Alcoa's commitment to create a plan and then execute it played a large role in the successful launch of the Ridgeline."
