The Alcoa Smelter In Baie-Comeau Renews Its Partnership With The Symposium De Peinture De Baie-Comeau

Baie-Comeau, May 1, 2007 – In this, the year of its 50th anniversary, the Alcoa smelter in Baie-Comeau has renewed, for the 13th consecutive year, its partnership with the Symposium de peinture de Baie-Comeau, as it prepares to present its 21st edition.

The public is once again invited to this great painting festival in the Côte-Nord region. There will, of course, be quality and diversity to please everybody. The artists are certainly eager to share with us their vision and their know-how, while we look forward to enjoy watching them at work and admiring the results of their efforts.

Pierre Morin, General Manager of the Alcoa smelter in Baie-Comeau, is not alone in considering that the painting symposium has now become a major event in our community, and that it provides Baie-Comeau with an influence on the national art scene. “The continuity and growing scope of the Symposium prompt us, year after year, to keep on supporting it. We can only congratulate ourselves on its success with artists and with the public.”

“We thus add our voices to those of the organizing committee, of other sponsors and patrons, and of volunteers, to issue an invitation to the people of the region and to visitors. We hope many of you will come celebrate with us this great gathering dedicated to painting, to colors and to imagination.”
