- Meet the following emissions targets:
- 0.25 PAH/t Al
- 8 kg total particulates/t Al
- 1.8 kg fluorides/t Al - Add a new sampling station for ambient air
Action plans to develop and implement
- Reduction of total fluoride emissions at the prebake pots in Baie-Comeau
- Reduction of particulate emissions at the roof vents at the Bécancour potrooms
- Research and development plan on SO2 reductions
- Improve the quality/quantity of casthouse dross
- Recycle spent potliners
Other actions
- Conduct a projection for SO2 emissions and establish targets
- Establish an audit grid for hazardous waste disposal sites
- Have the casthouse dross treatment and landfill sites audited by a third party
