The Alcoa Business System guides the management of manufacturing operations to ensure customer satisfaction through on demand, defect free production at the lowest possible cost, without waste and made safely for people and the environment.


The four Alcoa Canada Global Primary Products plants located in Québec have chosen the ISO standards to ensure operational excellence and environmental stewardship. All four plants are certified ISO 9001: 2000 and ISO 14001: 2004.



An audit process closes the loop by ensuring that our practices comply with regulations and our policies. The aim is to make plant management accountable, while encouraging a continuous assessment of compliance and the development of action plans when required.
