Education partners and programs: training tomorrow’s leaders

Our world needs to train the next generations so they are prepared to tackle the challenges of the future. Each year, we devote nearly one-third of our budget to educating these future workers.

Alcoa Foundation has developed several partnerships focused on youth education, notably to encourage youth to pursue careers in STEM fields: science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

Alcoa Foundation scholarships

To encourage young people to pursue higher education, Alcoa Foundation offers scholarships for children of Alcoa employees. Each year, it distributes $4,000 scholarships, payable in four annual0 installments of $1,000.

In 2015, eight children of Alcoa Global Primary Products in Canada employees were among the 71 new recipients selected worldwide. There was a total of 282 candidates.
