Alcoa Alumínio S.A. in Brazil has partnered with Alumínio & Cia to launch a countrywide store chain in Brazil that sells Alcoa’s branded aluminum profiles. There will be 40 stores throughout Brazil by the end of 2006. The main goal of the new venture is to serve the retail sector more quickly with products that have the Alcoa quality assurance. In addition, the stores will strengthen Alcoa’s leading market position and prevent the use of non-authorized copies of products. All stores follow the same internal and external designs, offering ready-to-go goods and technical support to consumers. The new chain has a Web site www.aluminioecia.com.br available in Portuguese.
