The new AA®120 offers a wide range of extruded aluminium sections in a variety of shapes and sizes to suit specific building requirements. The provision of this range also allows for the limitation of a building’s solar heat gain, which in turn improves the overall energy efficiency of the building, reducing life-cycle costs and creating more comfortable interior environments.
Ideal for all building applications, the Kawneer AA®120 Sunshade system also contributes towards the building’s thermal performance by reducing energy consumption attributed to air conditioning, allowing the use of more natural ventilation throughout the building and by limiting direct solar radiation whilst still maintaining internal lighting levels, thus contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gasses, promoting a better environment for all.
The exceptional AA®120 is a European engineered system, manufactured to stringent UK market requirements including BS EN 12020 for extruded precision profiles and BS EN 755 for extruded rod, bar, tube and profiles. The development of this outstanding Sunshade system utilised resources from Kawneer’s global design teams, ensuring the highest standards in design, technology and quality.
A highly flexible system, the Kawneer AA®120 can be fitted vertically or horizontally in accordance with specific architectural requirements and the component sections can be individually tailored to create bespoke sections according to the individual needs of the customer, including rectangular, aerofoil and custom blades.
Kawneer’s AA®120 is available in over 130 standard and 31 metallic Kawneer Permacover™ polyester paint finishes. A comprehensive range of Kawneer Permanodic® standard and coloured anodised finishes are also available, all covered by Kawneer’s standard guarantee, providing assurance and unlimited versatility in design.
