Alcoa GreenBuild Booth a Winner
Alcoa’s ecofriendly exhibit at the Greenbuild 2008 Conference won two design awards – the 2009 MOD award for Best Green Exhibit and the Business Marketing Association’s Pro-Comm Award of Excellence, for transforming an idea into an effective design that produced results. The booth, designed by EEI Global (www.eeiglobal.com) of Michigan, featured aluminum products that help the building and construction industry make strides in reducing energy consumption and emissions in their projects.
The booth was constructed using a variety of sustainable materials including custom curved, recyclable aluminum sheet panels and framing, recyclable ECOstone rubber flooring, LED lighting elements, Energy Star Rated computer monitors, acrylic low VOC paints and clear coating, and water base adhesives.
The MOD award recognizes best-in-class portable modular design from around the world, and the Award of Excellence honors excellence in outstanding event and experiential programs.
