Alcoa Institute
Was created in 1990 for the purpose of improving the living conditions of communities where Alcoa AlumÃnio and its subsidiaries operate, through philanthropic programs. Using donations by Alcoa Group companies and additional funds from the Alcoa Foundation, Alcoa Institute finances projects that attend to the real needs and necessities of the communities where we operate.
Mission
Alcoa Institute is a private entity with a cultural and a substantial purpose, non-profit, non-political and non-religious. The institute's mission is to improve the quality of life of the communities where Alcoa AlumÃnio and its subsidiaries operate, by investing funds in carrying out activities of a philanthropic nature, predominantly in the fields of education, health, environment and social welfare.
