In May, 2008 Alcoa’s Rede do Bem celebrated a year on air, with more than 490 registered users and various voluntary actions carried out exclusively by Alcoa employees. The result of a partnership between the Alcoa Institute and the Volunteer Website the Network of Good is the official channel for Company employees to share their experiences. 

The participants have at their disposal a place on the network (a personal blog) for creating and managing their own voluntary activities and for sharing knowledge and opportunities. Everybody can publicize their ideas and projects, recount their experiences, take part in forums, extend invitations to other participants, arrange get-togethers, find out about the activities in which other volunteers and the Alcoa Institute are involved and receive information about Alcoa’s Rede do Bem itself.

Only Alcoa employees are able to enter the site and share their experiences or tell their stories, but everybody is able to access it and find out a little about the work being done by the Alcoa team.
