On Saturday, September 18th the 12th edition of the Rotterdam Archicup will take place. The 'loser' of last year Zandbelt & vandenberg Architecture and Urban Design is responsible for the organization. In total, 24 architectural firms from Rotterdam and surroundings compete in four pools for the honor. Alcoa Architectuursystemen is main sponsor of this sporting event.

On September 15 and 16, 2010 Architect@Work will be held for the third time in the Netherlands. The fair organization focuses on an exclusive group of visitors, but also on an exclusive group of exhibitors who can show genuine novelties.

The theme of Thursday June 24th will be 'Architecture' and an interesting excursion to the Aluminium Center in Houten is included.

BouwBeurs 2009
Alcoa Architectural systems will be present at the International Building Fair organized in the Jaarbeurs in Utrecht from February 9-14 2009. You can find us at the same location as last time: Hall 1, stand A142. We will present our aluminium window-, door- and facades systems. Special attention will be given to +/- 40 project which have been realized with our systems.
This year we will present several novelties:

Architect of the Year 2008
After the success of the first edition in 2007, with UNStudio from Amsterdam as winner, ArchitectenWerk and sponsor Alcoa Architectuursystemen have decided also this year to find the ‘Architect of the year’. This time all Dutch architects – if they have existed for more then 5 years – can compete for this special and honorable prize. The following 8 bureaus have been nominated:

In an effort to help bring the world of architecture closer together Kawneer an Alcoa Company, recently signed on to be a Partner Sponsor of the inaugural World Architecture Festival ( WAF). The festival, which is being held October 22-24, 2008 in Barcelona, Spain focuses on the work, trends and issues of importance to the international architectural community, and culminates with an architectural competition. BOUWBEURS 2007
From February 5th until February 10th the biennial Exhibition for builders, architects and investors, the Bouwbeurs 2007, will be held in Jaarbeurs, Utrecht.
We will present an exciting stand which provides an overview of our systems for windows, doors and curtain walls. We will be launching our new doors and windows with invisible hinges, that can be operated by an infrared remote control. And, we would like to invite you to come and see how we convert a vertical window to a horizontal balcony!
