At Kwinana in WA, our R&D team has developed an innovative process that locks up carbon dioxide. It’s in action at Kwinana, preventing around 70,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide from being emitted into the atmosphere – equivalent of taking 17,500 cars off the road.

We’re the largest aluminium recycler in Australia. Our recycling facility at Yennora recycles 70,000 tonnes of aluminium each year - good news for future generations because recycling aluminium saves energy and reduces landfill.

Starring six wonderful Alcoans who were game enough to get involved and help carry the message, these five ads were created last year but put on ice when the global financial crisis hit. Now they're out and about and can be seen in full on this page.

With climate change a part of daily life and an emissions trading scheme set to impact our business, it's important people understand where Alcoa stands on climate change.
